Wright or wrong?

On February 3, 2013, Janrae Frank announced that she had signed Beth Wright with her publishing company, Daverana, to release two books. One of them was The Devil’s Pet Kitten.

So somebody please explain to me why I came across Beth Wright’s title “The Devil’s Pet Kitten” on Amazon.com just now, with Tabetha’s name on it?

  1. I hate to say it but you have to click on where it says new and used available. Tabby isn’t selling it, it’s somebody else selling them. That eejit is crooked as fuck tho so Beth better check and make sure Tabby isn’t making any money off these sales.

    • That explains it. Thank you.

I agree. If I were any of Tabetha’s authors, former or present, I’d check with Amazon to make sure I’m not being cheated.

    • Hey, Einstein. Somebody else already pointed out that it’s third party sellers. I thanked them. Maybe take a look at comments above yours before you make yourself look like an idiot.

      • Well knowing you with shit for brains you’d figure out some way to nail me to the wall. Just another fabricated lie from the imagination of lepp. Oh btw createspace will not give out info unless you are listed as a contact and certified user of that account. So no u can’t just call them up for info. Why don’t u ask them yourself as I did when I called about Beth’s book to ensure it was still retired.

      • I don’t need to “figure out” ways to nail you to the wall, hon. You make that far too easy by screwing up your illegal business and posting your illiterate, half-baked bullshit.
But I do give you credit. At least you used your own name this time.

      • Hate to tell you but yes people can get information from createspace. Those people on the phones tell authors how to file a complaint against you and get information about how many books they sold so they can prove once and for all that you’re stealing royalties from them. I know you count on it that authors can’t see your publisher account so you can tell them a lower number of books then they really sold, that’s how you steal from them but authors have rights and I hate to tell you but they can find out. So I hope you feel the cold breath of karma on the back of your neck Boss Lady because she’s sneaking up on you slow but sure.

    • Hate to say it but yes you do scam people. That’s not false shit, it’s the truth. Your name shouldn’t be on people’s books like that. You didn’t write it.

    • Tab you should not say that you are not scamming anyone here honey let me get you the definition.

Scamming here is the Wikipedia definition.

A confidence trick (synonyms include confidence scheme and scam) is an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their confidence, in the classical sense of trust. A confidence artist (or con artist) is an individual, operating alone or in concert with others, who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïveté, or greed.

Explains the psychology degree your getting!! Here I can post links also!!!
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scamming

      • Gain a person or people by winning their conficence? Like by calling them “family” maybe?

If she’s getting a degree in psychology, somebody else is writing her papers for her. Honestly, though. It kind of sounds like how her ex used to say he was a Marine sniper, when the truth is he never made it out of basic training. Maybe she did try to go to school, or maybe she really is. but if she’s getting a degree in psychology, somebody else is writing her papers for her. We all know she can’t write her way out of a wet paper sack with a machete.

  2. I contacted Createspace and UNLESS you are a contact person or authorized person on the account you cannot find out anything about sales.

    • I’m sorry “information for you, just asking, Sinscribbles”, but you are mistaken. I’m sure Tabetha is DESPERATE for her authors to think that she is their only source of informaton. That way she can lie to them about how many they sold (maybe even tell them none did, or that they were all returned) and pocket the royalties. But that is not so. Used to be, but circumstances change.
If an author files a complaint against Tabetha, they can get all the information they want about their own titles.
They don’t need her information. They just need their title and maybe the ISBN associated with it. Date of publication is helpful, to help them locate the book, but not necessary.
If any of you authors out there call createspace and ask about a title, sure. They’ll tell you that you can’t because you’re not on the account. But if you tell them at that point that you want to file a complaint about her, they’ll tell you how to do it and tell you exactly how to do it. You’ll find out exactly how many titles you sold. You might even find out more fun information that you weren’t even expecting. 😉

Hey, Information, Just asking, sin… I thought you were leaving. Don’t you have some domestic violence to advocate for or something?

  3. I was not trying to start drama. So why the “Hey, Information, Just asking, sin… I thought you were leaving. Don’t you have some domestic violence to advocate for or something?” I was simply stating that i did contact createspace and that is what they told me. As for the domestic violence to advocate for, that is cruel, and wrong just wrong. If you ever read my book No Sunshine on the Mountain, yes, I am an abuse victim, yes, I do believe that it has to stop. So wtf was that about?

    • That was about you showing up under different names claiming to be an advocate for domestic violence, of course, and subsequent indignant departure.

But thank you, Cindy Franks White for clearing up exactly who you are.

You are exactly right. If you call up and ask for information about a title posted on Createspace through somebody else’s account, that’s what they’ll tell you.
But if you’re an author with concerns about mismanagement of your book or your affairs by a potentially crooked publisher, you can file a complaint pursuant to your title and get all the information you need.

      • When I show up as different names most have a meaning behind them. As in Just Asking, and Information, just asking was just for my purposes to get insight on what is going on. And information was just that giving information. There is no malice involved. I have been writing for 34 years, and my works are my hearts blood and my souls tears.I want to do good with my writing, i don’t intend to start drama or bullshit. Please understand that all I want is the best for what i have written.

      • I can appreciate that. And, with no insults or pot shots, I’ll tell you this sincerely: If you really want the best for your writing, get it as far away from Tabetha Jones as you can. You have a much better grip on the craft or writing than she does, and you certainly have an imagination. 🙂
Do yourself a favor. Get a proper editor. Publish your own work or take it to a reputable publisher. You’ll do much better without her.

      • Whoever wants away from Tab I have six editors ready and waiting that charge very little. They are professionals have degrees in the craft of copyediting, editing, journalism. And don’t want nothing from you. Not your name smeared into the mudd, not to taint your name with a bad reputation. I just want to help anyone who needs away from Tab and her practice of taking away the ability to hold our heads high as an author…. I still have to pull my book and have it reedited so you are no the only ones.. My cover needs changed also. But its all in the works… You want my help come to me I will tell no one who you are or that I got you the help you need. Trust is something we all have to rebuild and believe in again after PF….. You can Trust me!!

      • I just want Tabetha’s victims to realize that they don’t need to pay to get away from her. I KNOW a couple of them want to, but can’t afford to spend hundreds to buy their rights back.

They don’t have to pay a thing to get away from her. Those contracts aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. They can walk away and take their work with them. Unless she conveniently “loses” their files.
        *eye roll*
Same thing with that no-retaliation clause. It’s not legal either. Nobody has to sign it. And even if they do, it’s not legally binding anyway.

People, learn your rights. If you want away from Tabetha, all you have to do is walk away. Period.

  4. Update:

As of June, 2016, Tabetha Jones has no publishing companies in operation that we know about, so our investigation of her has been halted. The point of examining her in the first place was to advocate for authors that reported no royalties and other related abuse from her. If she’s not involved with publishing anymore, that job’s done.

The posts about her remain in public view in case she starts a new one in the future.

If more publishing concerns about Tabetha Jones (Willis, Farmer Hoover, Saulters, etc) – AKA Zooey Sweete, Emerald Rai Fleurs, et al – arise in the future, we will post relevant updates. But for now, we’re focusing on happier topics.

    Peace.
