Lately, authors have been finding their books for sale through retailers like Wordery and different Ebay stores like Buy, unbeatablesales and Grandeagle, to name a few.

When asked about how these books are getting into the hands of these retailers, Tabetha blames Ingram for it, saying that the retailers are getting the books from Ingram, not from her. She’s innocent, she claims, and isn’t receiving any money for them.

That money’s going SOMEWHERE, isn’t it? Whether those books are being obtained from Ingram or Amazon/Createspace, money’s changing hands. And one thing’s for sure: it’s not going to the authors. We could spend eternity chasing down each and every little shop, demanding that each stops selling former Phoenix Fire work, and we’d never catch up. Maybe she’s counting on that.

Let’s make it easy. Authors, contact both Ingram and Createspace and demand that your work (including anthologies) stop being made available. That way, no shops can obtain or sell your titles anymore, and Tabetha can’t put any more of your money in her pocket.  Cut the piracy off at the source. And don’t fool yourself. That’s exactly what it is: Piracy. If you’re not getting paid for the sales of your work, you’re a victim of piracy. That’s a Federal crime under section  17 U.S.C. § 506(a) and  18 U.S.C. § 2319 of the US code. Take a moment to read through those sections. You might find that it exactly describes what’s been going on. Having your work sold without your legal consent isn’t some little civil matter between you, Tabetha and Createspace. It’s a Federal offense.

And don’t worry about being bound by any contract, whether it’s for your own title or work contributed to an anthology. Tabetha will tell you that you’re contractually bound to allow your work to continue to be sold in anthologies, but it’s not true.
First, PF contracts aren’t legal. This has been confirmed by more than one business and contract lawyer. Not like Tabetha’s assertions that her nonexistent lawyer’s assertion that they are legal. It’s very simple. Her company isn’t legal and neither are her contracts. You are not bound by them.
Second, Let me ask you this: did you sign a contract for each anthology? Did you sign any contract that stipulates specifically that each contribution to each anthology can continue to be sold even after you leave the company? Did you sign a contract that says she can keep getting paid for your work without giving you a dime?
Then guess what. You aren’t bound to allow her to keep ripping you off.

Stop letting a thief put your money in her pocket. Here are the contact details for both Ingram and Createspace. Get in touch and demand that your titles stop being made available for payment to Phoenix Fire publishing, Tabetha Jones or anybody else but you. Likewise, demand that your contributions to anthologies be removed under penalty of copyright infringement. Don’t let them or her just take your name off the title, either. Demand that your content be removed as well.

And, while you’re at it, report instances of piracy to the FBI. Don’t allow the Federal crime of piracy to be perpetrated.

It’s easy. It tells you how, step by step, on this page at

Stop being a victim. Stop the crime.

  1. I have a huge question for those authors that wrote pieces for the anthologies and since left….
Do you realize some of your work is still for sale under PF and Tabetha? Cindy’s name is on Glass Hearts. If she is still selling ur stuff u get pd for it whether u left or not depending on upur agreement of termination terms. We all know why you leave but I would ask to have the anthology retired so she could even pocket a penny from my work. It can sale with thw other works and be updated …. those that continue to stay with the Queen of Lyingeyes please see that u have an agreement about royalties if by chance u leave her too because we know she don’t take books off the market right away and you are losing money that you earned. In the contract it states to be shared equally by authors….

    • How do you own the rights if she continues to sale those pieces… I get both sides but she still needs to pay if your work is included even if you leave the company….no joking. I know how she works so fight for your writings

      • I have since left her company at March and there are anthologies on ebay with Phoenix Fire that are being sold. We never do get paid for it even if we are still part of Phoenix – I waited for 3 months for nothing.

The problem I am having though is that supposedly she has removed my piece from the anthologies but is still selling the originals with my piece in it on ebay.

      • There are a lot of anthologies available on, too, not just Ebay. With most of your names still on them, as well as other former authors. Tabetha is shameless, continuing to sell your work and put your money in her pocket. Telling her to remove your work from her anthologies isn’t going to work. She’s not going to do it. The simple fact is that she’s too greedy. She won’t stop until somebody makes her stop. That somebody is you. Each of you whose work she continues to sell.
Reporting her to Createspace isn’t going to make her stop, obviously, since it’s still going on. They obvious aren’t going to do anything about it.
The only way you’re going to make her stop is by reporting her to the FBI for pirating hour work. She doesn’t have contractual permission to sell your work, and she knows it. Especially if you’re no longer willingly associated with her. But she doesn’t care. She’s going to keep profiting from your work as long as you allow it.
The only way to put a stop to the thievery once and for all is to make her face justice for the crimes she’s committed against you in the past, and continues to perpetrate to this very day. Report her using your work illegally to the FBI and make her pay for it. See the link in the post to find out how to do it.
        Stop the madness.

  2. Tabby cat needs to be declawed. End of story. She is the most conniving, sneaky, and underhanded person I have ever had the displeasure to have come across. She will bully you, cuss you and threaten you to do her bidding. She promises you the moon and stars, but all she gives you is a big heaping pile of bullshit. She blames others for all her downfalls. She is as pure as the driven snow. Sorry but I along with many of you are allergic to bullshit. It’s time to stand up for all your hard work and put that mangy stray in the pound where she belongs. Take back your rights, fight for all you believe in. You created these wonderful creations, these beautiful works of art. Don’t let her win and take what is rightfully yours.

      • You are right on that matter – that she must be stopped – I will have a group discussion with the older authors – every single one of them listed and make sure that they all know as so I am not the only one doing something about it – if it was ebay – just ebay – it would have been easier to stop. But anyway what is done is done and now we will act on it.

  3. Update:

As of June, 2016, Tabetha Jones has no publishing companies in operation that we know about, so our investigation of her has been halted. The point of examining her in the first place was to advocate for authors that reported no royalties and other related abuse from her. If she’s not involved with publishing anymore, that job’s done.

The posts about her remain in public view in case she starts a new one in the future.

If more publishing concerns about Tabetha Jones (Willis, Farmer Hoover, Saulters, etc) – AKA Zooey Sweete, Emerald Rai Fleurs, et al – arise in the future, we will post relevant updates. But for now, we’re focusing on happier topics.
