Models

It’s coming to my attention that more and more models are cutting ties with Tabetha Jones and Phoenix Fire publishing due to either inappropriate behavior on her part or a dawning awareness of her lack of professionalism in business practices and/or experience in the field of photography. In short, they’re catching on, too. Just like the authors.

Yet, even though the models have cut ties with her, Tabetha throws their names out in association with her and her company, acting as if there’s nothing they can do about it because she’s already got the pictures. She thinks she can use the pictures, and the models’ names, because of whatever contract they signed and there’s nothing they can do but eat it.

Not true.

Just like the authors Tabetha screws over with her illegal company, the models can take their work and walk away. PHOENIX FIRE PUBLISHING IS NOT A LEGAL COMPANY. That means that their CONTRACTS DO NOT LEGALLY EXIST.

Models, if Phoenix Fire publishing is not the sort of (illegal) company with which you want yourself, your image or your reputation associated, you are not legally or morally obligated to let her use any images you don’t want her to. She does not own them, or any rights to use them. You can demand them back and refuse to let her print them on her books, her social media or her websites. It’s your image and your reputation. You don’t have to let them be sullied by an association with the likes of Tabetha Jones. Tell her not to use them, and if she does it anyway, report her for pirating your intellectual property, theft, and anything else you can think of

You can tear up your contract. Turn it into confetti or make paper planes, if you wish. Maybe use it for kindling.

Walk away. Save yourself.

If you know any of the models she uses, please feel free to share this link with them so that they can find out that they don’t have to be her victims any more than the authors do. Let’s help the models too, the way we’ve come together to help authors.

  1. Authors, models, reviewers, and/or editors…. not limited to this list anyone that feels as if they can be hurt by a fraudulent company! No one desires to be hurt or dreams ruined!

  2. What a bitch! She thinks she can do whatever she wants rip people off and they can’t touch her well I hope they do more than that I hope they sue her fat ass off. Fucking bitch has been screwing people for to long already. Like she says just ask anybody.

  3. But she will say that the Phoenix Effect is a separate company than PF. But I will tell you she is still running it. I was offered a deal by contacting them. 200.00 for a shoot I get 4 pics out if the photos taken the rest are theirs. WTF!!! Yep I pay for a shoot that the pics I don’t get all of them just 4. So I did some calling around. For 200.00 in Dallas I can get a 2 hour session and over 60 pics. That are mine with only rights for the photographer use on web site it portfolio. Much better right plus my models won’t be sexually assaulted or have there rep ruined when cops show up to haul her away for probation violation.

    • Wait, the MODEL has to pay for a photo shoot and the “company” keeps the photos? That sounds like her charging authors up front then keeping the royalties.
Then again, look who we’re talking about, here.

I hope the professional models she connives into doing photo shoots get a better deal.

  4. And, while we’re on the subject, I wonder how Anthony Reinhart, a real photographer, feels about her starting up her own photography “company” and trying to steal all his models?

  5. That didn’t take long for her to fuck it up trying to sleep with all the guys but she’s not a party girl anymore right, what a liar and she calls somebody else a whore? She needs to take a good look in the mirror, that isn’t the green fairy staring back it’s the wicked witch.

  6. Update:

As of June, 2016, Tabetha Jones has no publishing companies in operation that we know about, so our investigation of her has been halted. The point of examining her in the first place was to advocate for authors that reported no royalties and other related abuse from her. If she’s not involved with publishing anymore, that job’s done.

The posts about her remain in public view in case she starts a new one in the future.

If more publishing concerns about Tabetha Jones (Willis, Farmer Hoover, Saulters, etc) – AKA Zooey Sweete, Emerald Rai Fleurs, et al – arise in the future, we will post relevant updates. But for now, we’re focusing on happier topics.

    Peace.
