Switch alert!

Any and all authors that currently have work published with Tabetha Jones and Phoenix Fire publishing need to be aware of the fact that their Kindle titles are listed with Phoenix Fire as the publisher, but the paperbacks appear with Amazon services as the publisher.

That means that from the look of things, Tabetha Jones has published all of those books under her own personal account and she’s too cheap to pay the 30 bucks per title to list PF as the publisher for the hard copies.

Authors, CHECK YOUR TITLES. If your book is listed as being published under Amazon (including digital and createspace) services, while you contracted to have your books published by Phoenix Fire publishing, TAKE ACTION. If she published your book under her own personal account, she’s breached your contract in every way there is. If she published your work under her personal account, make sure she isn’t claiming your work as her own by doing so. Demand that she pull your title, consider suing her for damages, and turn her in to the FBI for piracy.

Stop being scammed and defrauded.

  1. Just when you think she can’t or won’t come up with something new, there she is with a new scheme. She has no bounds, no limits, no conscience!!! There is so much I want to say, about her as a person, let alone a publisher For god’s sake who is next, or should I say what??? There is no end for her to be the total money grubbing queen of scams. This is freaking crazy. Enough IS enough.

    • Upon closer examination, it looks like the digital copies say that the publisher is Phoenix Fire. But the paperbacks say Createspace/Amazon services.
      Why?
One answer is because it costs about 30 bucks per title to put a unique name on the book as the publisher. We all know how Tabetha hates to part with money. She probably just doesn’t want to pay it.

One thing it proves, though, is that there doesn’t appear to be any professional publisher account for Phoenix Fire, but rather that she’s publishing all of them under her personal account.

      Can we say FRAUD?

  2. I see kindle books are under PF but paperbacks are not… I have questions because I self-pub.
    1) If she were a legit publisher shouldn’t the paperbacks and kindles have some said publisher?
    2) A business account should render the same for both platforms right?
    3) Real question is why do paperbacks say createspace instead of PF?

    • LOL! Just answered that exact question.

Because she doesn’t want to pay 30(ish) bucks to list PF as the publisher on print books. Being so cheap has outed her. Looks like all those books, ALL of them, are published on HER PERSONAL ACCOUNT.

      • Okay … she wants to avoid the paying out money….. (isn’t that what Publishers do?)
So if I was an author, how would I know about sales? …. especially hearing about others not getting paid…. Goes back to an MP author that could prove printed copies were bought but no record only Tab’s word about the returning of them… A personal account is different from a business account.

      • Paying out money for the production and promotion of a book is what REAL publishers do. We’re talking about Tabetha Jones, here. You’ve answered your own question. 🙂

  3. Update:

As of June, 2016, Tabetha Jones has no publishing companies in operation that we know about, so our investigation of her has been halted. The point of examining her in the first place was to advocate for authors that reported no royalties and other related abuse from her. If she’s not involved with publishing anymore, that job’s done.

The posts about her remain in public view in case she starts a new one in the future.

If more publishing concerns about Tabetha Jones (Willis, Farmer Hoover, Saulters, etc) – AKA Zooey Sweete, Emerald Rai Fleurs, et al – arise in the future, we will post relevant updates. But for now, we’re focusing on happier topics.

    Peace.
