Accident report

Guest post by Tabetha (Hoover) Jones. Make of it what you will.

I recently saw on your blog about the doubts you have had regarding mine and Josh’s wreck on his motorcycle so let me clear up any doubts you may have.

Around 7pm on June 25th we were headed to the store and his bike bogged down on him and instead on letting it die he downshifted and gave it to much gas causing the front end to come up. His bike is NOT a Harley nor does it have a high back sissy bar. I was taught by my father when a bike loses control and the passenger is in danger of coming off the bike you let go of the rider and bike and duck, cover and roll. I am not sure how I hit the pavement but Josh and the bike landed in the grass and I was on the street with my head on the curb.

I did not suffer an extreme case of road rash only slightly to the right shoulder and didn’t even know I was bleeding from my head until Josh told me. I didn’t lose consciousness and really didn’t want to go to the hospital. I had a friend take me home while he drove the bike back and once my sister and Josh looked at the back of my head it was certain I was going to the ER.

I was diagnosed with Subdural Hematoma with a Stage 2 Concussion. I was admitted to Providence Hospital after midnight after the results of my catscan. Dr. Marshall found a bit of bruising on the front of the brain due to the impact of the back of my head and wanted to
ensure it did not bleed over night.

The next morning June 26th around 7am I was taken for another catscan and it showed clear. I was released around 2 pm on June 26th seeing the catscan came back clear.and I do apologize it was 7 staples put in not 6. I had them removed today and sending the pictures and you have my full approval to post them on your blog.

This way you and everyone else can see that I was injured it was serious and I am slowly recovering from the accident. If you feel you need anymore information feel free to email me anytime.

Oh and the reason for not being able to see the staples clearly the first not the blood had dried and the doctor stapled over my hair and that was Josh’s hand moving the hair back tpo take the ic no mine, my nails stay red.

In other words, he doesn’t know how to drive a motorbike for shit.

“His bike is NOT a Harley nor does it have a high back sissy bar.”
In her original post, she called it a “bitch bar” and said that the bike had none. Now she’s trying gloss it over by calling it what it’s supposed to be called, and saying that it didn’t have a HIGH one. Slippery as ever, trying to switch up the wording to make it look like she wasn’t flat-out lying in the first place.

“I did not suffer an extreme case of road rash only slightly to the right shoulder”
Make that NO road rash. The first two pictures show fake rashes that don’t match up to each other, and this last set shows none. She might have knocked her noggin, but she didn’t get a road rash, as such.

Notice that she’s not mentioning her other “wounds” now, as they don’t fit into the story. Makes no sense that she got a scraped knee from landing on her back. More likely, she got that doing something else. And I think we can all guess what she’d be doing on her knees.

I’ve done a bit of research today. And, while I’m no medical expert, I’m pretty good with Google. I couldn’t find a single instance where subdural hematoma resolved itself overnight, or a case where a patient with subdural hematoma complicated by a stage 2 concussion was released after a single day.

As she’s done many times before to bolster her claims, I see that she names a doctor. Well, if she says that a doctor says it, then in must be true, right? Just ask her late mom, who she claimed suffered from compound fractures, according to the doctor (and nurse?) she named. Right.

With one face, she claims to be slowly recovering, but if you nose around to her many alts, it looks like she hasn’t missed a single beat.

Her story isn’t impossible, but with so many changes in between versions, it just doesn’t add up.

  2. I really don’t see what the hell this has to do with publishing. Same with the other post on the subject.

    • To clarify: she’s a liar. We know this. How has this incident – true or false – affected business? Anyone?

    • First and foremost, this is MY blog, and I’ll put on it whatever the happy hell I want, whether it’s about publishing, artwork, or rainbow-colored unicorn kittens. It doesn’t have to be about publishing, but in this case, it is.

What this has to do with publishing is that the person it’s about has, in the past (present and future, no doubt) scammed people as a publisher. Posts like this showcase her character. If she’s willing to lie about what’s going on in her personal life, be it a personal injury or faked attempted suicide of a family member, what’s to say she doesn’t lie about business matters. On an ongoing basis, not “in the past.” Not “mistakes” that she’s learned from. As long as a person presents a potential threat to people in the publishing world, I reserve the right to call ’em on their bullshit and lies.

  3. Update:

As of June, 2016, Tabetha Jones has no publishing companies in operation that we know about, so our investigation of her has been halted. The point of examining her in the first place was to advocate for authors that reported no royalties and other related abuse from her. If she’s not involved with publishing anymore, that job’s done.

The posts about her remain in public view in case she starts a new one in the future.

If more publishing concerns about Tabetha Jones (Willis, Farmer Hoover, Saulters, etc) – AKA Zooey Sweete, Emerald Rai Fleurs, et al – arise in the future, we will post relevant updates. But for now, we’re focusing on happier topics.

    Peace.
