Flags

Let’s set the record straight, shall we?

These are the actual Confederate flags.

The one everybody’s getting their panties in such a twist over, was the battle flag of Northern Virginia.

The first Confederate flag too closely resembled the American flag, so it was changed to include the battle flag of Northern Virginia. The white space was left to signify white supremacy.

Too many people thought that a flag with so much white on it looked too much like a surrender flag, so a red stripe was added to stand for the blood being shed defending the southern way of life.

So all of you eejits… stop. Just stop.
